I have to check out the new GoPro action cameras, but right now I really do like the VIRB action cam. It shoots video up to 4k at 30fps, 2.7k at 60fps, and 1080p120 and the optics are incredible. Not to mention it also has a Pro Settings feature to adjust the ISO limit, white balance, sharpness, etc. Even more, it has a single, burst, and time lapse camera mode and dedicated switches for video and the camera, which gives us one-touch recording.

The VIRB Ultra 30 also has image stabilization, built-in GPS, ANT+, and Wi-Fi (for use with the Android/iOS mobile app). This thing is beastly. It can be controlled by various Garmin wearables such as my fenix 3 HR or vivoactive HR.

The one thing is battery life is tough on this device. I'd like it to be better, but I guess getting additional batteries is just the way to go.
