Airsoft For 16+ Petition In The Netherlands

OptimusPrime

Airsoft has been legal in the Netherlands for over three years now, with the law allowing airsoft taking effect last 1 January 2013. However, the law only allows individuals 18 years old and above to legally play airsoft and should belong to a registered airsoft association. The NABV (Dutch Airsoft Association) is the only registered airsoft association so far.

Yavornick Wittens, a 16-year Dutch who is a fan of airsoft, feels it is unfair that those at 16 years cannot play airsoft and started an online petition to allow people of his age to start playing airsoft legally in his country.

We tried to get in touch with the NABV to get their position on this. So far, we have not received any reply.

If you think 16 year olds should be allowed to play airsoft, you can visit and sign the petition here. Though we would suggest to the author of the petition to come up with a better worded petition to explain why they should be allowed.
