COD: WWII Will Include Operation Cobra & No Unlimited Sprint

With the Call of Duty franchise going back to its roots, being that it is a World War II tactical shooter game, Activision and developer Sledgegammer Games will have to introduce some come-ons in order to reboot the popularity of one of the biggest video game series in history.

In the development of the story for Call of Duty WWII, DualShockers report that Sledgehammer CEO Glen Schofield and co-founder Michael Condrey discussed some of the missions that players can look forward too. One of these missions is Operation Cobra, which involved one of the biggest aerial bombing operations in World War II, involving thousands of airplanes to carpet bomb Axis positions in Normandy leading to the collapse of the defensive lines. Some of these bombs actually fell into allied lines killing their own soldiers, but the operation led to the safe passage of allied troops further into France.

Many already expect that the Normandy landings is already a given in the game, but apart from Operation Cobra, the game will include the Battle of the Bulge and the liberation of Paris.

Now another thing that many of us have enjoyed with the recent Call of Duty titles is the unlimited sprint which allowed players run in the game doing all knife kills and akimbo shooting. This may mean a more realistic sprint in which the character tires out eventually and can do it again as he regains strength. This was reported by VG427.com and confirmed via Twitter:

More information will be revealed during the E3 2017 which will take place from the 13th to the 15th of June at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Sledgehammer and Activsion promise a full hands-on multiplayer reveal during the show.

Call of Duty: WWII is scheduled to be released on the 3rd of November 2017 and will be played on the Xbox One, Playstation 4, and Windows PC.
